September Cottage is the new home of Vicky and Les Spicer who recently moved to the lovely Milford-on-Sea. They were previously in Watford, where they had many years experience of welcoming guests into their accommodation, and in providing mouth-watering menus for countless special occasions - both private and business.

The perfect B&B destination

Our bed and breakfast rooms, one double and one twin/double, are completely refurbished to a high standard. Each has an attractive ensuite shower room, free-to-air digital television plus tea and coffee making facilities. Our B&B Rooms can be used in conjunction with our Holiday Let Accommodation to provide one family room and a double twin room sharing a bathroom, all with the additional use of the kitchen/diner.

All of our rooms have BROADBAND CONNECTION subject to a small daily charge.

All guests have use of the front garden with it’s original wishing well.

The perfect holiday let by the sea

The self-contained holiday let comprises a kitchen-diner, a double/twin bedroom, a lounge with a sofa-bed and chair-bed, and a bathroom. It may be used in conjunction with the Bed & Breakfast rooms, therefore providing self-catering accommodation for up to nine people.

Both main rooms have TV and Broadband connection.

We provide all linen, and the kitchen is fully equipped. We will supply basic provisions for your arrival to give you a chance to settle in without the need to go shopping! But when you are ready to shop, the centre of the village, with its comprehensive range of shops, pubs and restaurants, is no more than five minutes walk away.

We also provide a barbecue for your use, and you are welcome to sit out in our attractive front garden.

The Area

Milford-on-Sea offers many attractions for your holiday.  The village itself is apparently the only one of its kind surviving along the south coast, with its traditional shops, pubs and restaurants, and its village green around and on which such events as May Day and Village Carnival with their respective Queens are celebrated.

There are many lovely walks – along the cliffs with spectacular views of the Isle of Wight Needles, or to Keyhaven Harbour with its sailing and boat trip facilities, or around Sturt Pond with its magnificent array of birds, or out to the historic Hurst Castle.

A short drive will take you to the pretty town of Lymington with its cobbled pedestrian walkway leading to the quays, and its many individual shops, or to Christchurch with its historic Priory and nature reserves.  Then of course on the doorstep is the New Forest National Park with its diverse flora and fauna.

Popular local pastimes include bird-watching, sailing, sea and river fishing, pony-trekking, golfing, cycling to name but a few.The two international airports of  Bournemouth (Hurn) and Southampton (Eastleigh) are each only about half-an-hours drive away.

About Applecrust catering

Applecrust Catering was established in 1985 and over the years has provided catering for a very diverse range of occasions, including many business functions, weddings, barbecues and themed parties, such as Spanish Tapas and Paella evenings, Greek Parties, Caribbean and Country and Western Barbecues, and even Sausage Parties!!  We are happy to provide whatever you wish and will visit you to help you devise a menu suitable for your special occasion.  Your wish is our command!

As far as possible, all ingredients are fresh and local, and all our dishes are carefully prepared by ourselves.

All our prices include the provision of crockery, cutlery, serviettes, service and clearing up. 
If you require linen rather than paper, we can supply it at a small additional cost and are happy to help you find any other items you might need, such as marquee, tables and chairs etc.
